FREEZING cold.

It's SO ridiculously cold here. I will never take LA's warm/hot weather for granted, EVER again.

Anyways, it's been two days, and not much has happened here.
Yesterday was the beginning of course Add/Drop Period, so I woke up extra early to register for any class I possibly could.  I got into two classes, but neither were my top choices. So after 2 hours of just clicking around on the Yonsei portal system, got ready to have lunch with a friend I met at Jubilee Church.  We ate at the school cafeteria.

You know how everything sold by USC is double, maybe even triple the price it should be?? Well, at Yonsei, everything is about 1/2 the price. You get a full meal for 2,500 Won. That's like $1.75. And by full meal, I mean a plate of pasta, or fried rice with a fried egg among other goodies.

Anyways,
I didn't have class yesterday either, so after lunch, I just wasted time doing nothing.
A lot of people went out for dinner and then to a bar, but I just stayed at the dorm, ordered chinese delivery with a friend, and watched tv.  It was wayyyy too cold to go out. Plus, it was raining.
Dorm hallway after the rain.

Today, before class started, I walked around the neighborhood, trying to get familiar with the restaurants/supermarkets/cafes/gyms, etc.  I walked around for a good hour and a half, and even bought a well-needed set of chopsticks (to eat cup ramen), spoon (to eat cereal), and mug (to eat cereal and drink tea). I went to the market to buy food, then had to speed walk for 25 minutes to drop off everything at the dorm and make it to class in time.
I went to microbio, which was ok..then to a biochem class called "viral pathogenesis and immunity"...

One complaint about the school is that the buildings don't have signs.. And if they do, they're named in Korean.
During orientation, the school gave each of the students a campus map with all the buildings named in ENGLISH.
So, you really don't know if you're in the right building, in the right class, unless you ask a gazillion people and you just HAPPEN to ask someone who knows the English names to the buidlings.  =___=
Not even the professors know the campus.

Anyways,I thought the biochem course would be interesting, but the class is only like 7 students and the professor is quite slow... but, whatever, at least I'm registered for something. hah.

After class, I met up my two aunts (gomos) for dinner, and they took me to a really really nice italian restaurant. We ordered a full course consisting of pumpkin soup, mushroom salad, risotto, and gelatto. It was soooo good (and expensive; the dessert, two scoops of gelatto, was 8,000 won (about $5.50))

After dinner, I went out to a bar, where a lot of the Yonsei International Graduate Students were having a party.. Unfortunately, no pictures, but I DID get one w/ my roommate.. here she is!  :D
Gloria y yo.

Ok, and then i came home cause I'm so tired.
I wish I would take more interesting pictures of random things, but it's hard. and sort of annoying!
Maybe i'll get some this weekend, just maybe.
